-been craving some eclairs..so I made some in the afternoon

MY 20th BIRTHDAY
-wasn't as eventful as I would like..but hopefully I'll make up for that tomorrow
-dim sum for lunch with david, jori, lola, lolo tito, lola pat, and victoria
-got home..had to nap from all the food I inhaled
-had pasta and ribs for dinner..real good
-my cake was this dessert that I'm not sure of the name..but I do know that it was scrumptious..
-hung out the rest of the night





At the end of the day, what matters is I'm not a teenager anymore..if that matters at all.

-got lunch at this hawaiian joint by tnc
-hit up daiso, target, forever21, and bed bath and beyond
I bought a drink, 5 notebooks, a jacket, and measuring spoons, mineral oil, mesh scrubber from the respective stores
-went to her place to color in roo

-work 1100-1600
-matt manalaysay's bday today..so I got picked up from stonestown by david to go to his bbq thing at lake merced
-ate, relaxed, and played some football..of course my team won..hah..i scored 2 touchdowns

August 4, 2009

-woke up, got ready to go to ikea with lola, lolo tito, lola pat, and jori
-got to ikea..and had a blast..copped some tin boxes, a wooden cutting board, a whisk, a 4 cup capacity measuring cup, laudry basket, and a TON of free pencils..hah
-got home, slept
-ate kare kare for dinner..delicious
-made a seafood stock out of the crawfish and shrimp shells and heads
-decided a crepe would be a good midnight snack..so I made a few of those
david, jori, and I chomped on those with some nutella and bananas







At the end of the day, what matters is ikea is pretty tight.

-didn't do much today except made my second attempt at cold-smoking my bacon..success
-one box is where the hot plate applies heat to the wood chips to make them smoke up, and a fan blows the hot smoke through some metal tubing where it gradually cools off, and goes into the second box where the slab of side pork that has been cured for 8 days sits on a rack
-grilled up some rosemary and lemon chicken for dinner, as well as some rainbow trout









At the end of the day, what matters is I know how to make bacon, time to make 20 pounds of it now!

August 2, 2009

-went over to pinole with david and jori to have dinner with david's mom place
-stopped by 99 ranch to pick up some crawfish and shrimp for dinner
-got there..hung out a quick minute..played with a crawfish
-ended up going to the park for a good while to play some basketball
-got back to the house to this plethora of food..let me give the run down:
crawfish, shrimp, corn, kielbasa, and onions went in the boiling water with some seasoning. there were ribs, potato salad, collard greens, cornbread, and some sausage...one of the best meals in a while.
-had to nap after
-woke up to some peach cobler with vanilla ice cream
-watched some tv
-headed back to sf
-felt like a mad man when we were on the bridge cause I stuck my head out the window taking night pics of the bay bridge and stuff..hah























At the end of the day, what matters is now I know what I want to eat for lunch on my birthday..CRAWFISH.
